Lisa-Anne Chung is a fourth year Management Science major at UCSD. She is excited to continue serving VentureForth to even higher levels with both UCSD and the community surrounding UCSD. She loves the management involved in running a small company and helping VentureForth organize events and hopes to eventually be a COO of a prestigious coporation.

She is currently a Business Marketing Analyst Intern for Cardinal Health. Most recently she was a Research Analyst for the Lancer Group, a corporate executive retained search firm. This past summer, she interned at Deuchem in Shanghai, China and also volunteered to teach English in JiangKou, GuiZhou one of the designated poorest villages in China. Previously, she had interned at the Department of Commerce in the Foreign Commercial Affairs department. During her first three years at UCSD, she has also been an academic advising intern, orientation leader, researcher, mentor and played many other leadership roles.

With her leadership experience and passion, Lisa-Anne hopes to continue VentureForth's vision while expanding its reaches. She cannot wait to see the effects that the Entrepreneur Conference will have for the students and community!

James Lu, Vice Chair & Internet (Web 2.0) Panel: james.lu (at) ventureforth.org

James is a fourth year Pharmacological Chemistry major with a minor in Management Science. He joined VentureForth to further his aspirations of incorporating business and science together in hope to pursue a career in management in the biotech industry.

This past summer he worked at Invitrogen [ www.invitrogen.com] as a product team assistant. Previously, he worked as a research analyst at Lancer Group [www.lancergroup.net], a corporate executive retained search firm. Even before that, he was a lab/research intern at Solulink Biosciences. [www.solulink.com].

Despite having a strong background in science, he grew up with a passion to keep up with current events around the world. His broad knowledge and passion of the science industry and business is a great asset to VentureForth.

Jimmy Hsien-Te Mar is a 4th year Management Science and Psychology double major at UCSD. Jimmy started getting involved with VentureForth in the spring of 2006.

Jimmy is currently researching under Craig McKenzie, a Professor of Management and Psychology. Along with the regular classes at UCSD, he is also taking classes at UCSD Extension to gain more hands-on education.This past summer, Jimmy worked part time at Presidential Brokerage and at The Lancer Group. At Presidential Brokerage he learned technical trading and applied it to 2 projects. He was a research analyst for a The Lancer Group, a corporate executive retained search firm.

This year, he is excited to bring his financial knowledge and background skills to help VentureForth as Vice President of Finance.

Jeffrey Mounzer, Engineering Panel: jeff.mounzer (at) ventureforth.org

Jeff Mounzer is a third year double major in electrical engineering and economics. He joined VentureForth in the spring of 2006 to learn more about entrepreneurship in engineering.

Jeff is the current president of the Triton Engineering Student Council (TESC), the umbrella organization for the 16 pre-professional engineering student societies at the Jacobs School of Engineering. Last year, he organized the TESC-sponsored Disciplines of Engineering Career Fair (DECaF), which brought representatives from 50 companies to UCSD to interact with over 1,500 engineering students. The event also raised over $20,000 to fund engineering student organization projects and events.

Jeff is also currently engaged in doing research in wireless communications through the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (CalIT2). Over the last two years he has completed internships at General Atomics and Northrop Grumman.

Marsha Malinow, Media Panel: marsha.malinow (at) ventureforth.org

A fourth year at UCSD, Muir College. Majoring in International Studies- Economics, Linguistics and minoring in German Studies. As a scholar-athlete and Women's Tennis team captain, she has also been involved with other extracurricular activities and clubs. Venture Forth immediately appealed to her as she feels very connected to the corporate world and has a strong interest in establishing a network with other business entities.

She is currently a self-employed tennis coach and an instructor at the Pacific Athletic Club. She has interned at the UCSD Intercollegiate Athletics office, recruiting for Women's Soccer. Now, she is a licensed college agent and financial representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network ( www.nmfn.com). Any opportunity to get in touch with new faces, especially when it comes to international contacts, is an honor to Marsha. Her plan is to someday run her own international company and travel the world.
